The Gynecologic Oncology Service offers gynecologic, gastrointestinal, and urologic surgery for previously untreated gynecologic cancers. It also offers surgery for complications and recurrences of gynecologic cancers, as well as for benign gynecological diseases which require difficult surgical procedures.
The Gynecologic Oncology Service offers a full spectrum of chemotherapeutic agents useful in the management of gynecologic cancers. These chemotherapeutic agents may be used both for previously untreated gynecologic malignancies and for the management of recurrent gynecologic malignancies that may have initially failed to respond to chemotherapy or other forms of treatment.
The Gynecologic Oncology Service offers both brachytherapy and external beam radiation therapy for the management of gynecologic cancers including cervical, vaginal and vulvar cancer.
The Gynecologic Oncology Service offers a full-service colposcopy program for the evaluation of patients with abnormal Pap smear or possible recurrences of premalignant or malignant disease in the lower reproductive tract.
